Process.Science Community Workshop: Hamburg exchange on the future of Process Mining
On February 27, 2025, the Haus des Sports des Hamburger Sportbund e.V. was transformed into a lively meeting place for Process Mining enthusiasts. Our first Process.Science Community Workshop brought together experts and interested parties from various industries - and the success exceeded our expectations!
Knowledge exchange in a relaxed after-work atmosphere
The event thrived on the energy of the participants, who all shared a common goal: to fully exploit the potential of Process Mining in their companies. In a relaxed atmosphere, lively discussions arose on topics that move the Process Mining community:
- How can ERP data be optimally prepared for Process Mining?
- What challenges are there in terms of data quality?
- How can Process Mining contribute to more customer centricity?
- What role does generative AI play in process optimization?
“It's incredible to see how a shared passion for data-driven insights can bring professionals together,” sums up Lucas M. Schroth, CEO of Process.Science. The discussions ranged from fundamental questions to industry-specific applications for operational excellence.

Networking with like-minded people
A particular highlight of the workshop was the opportunity to network with like-minded people. Participants took the opportunity to make new contacts and share practical experiences. This direct exchange is particularly valuable, as Process Mining is a relatively young field that benefits from the transfer of knowledge between users.
Outlook: The community continues to grow
The successful workshop was just the beginning! On Thursday, July 3, 2025, our next community workshop will take place to inspire even more people for the transformative power of process mining. If you would like to become part of this growing community, we cordially invite you to join us:
- Join our Meetup group
- Follow us on LinkedIn for announcements about upcoming events
- Bring your own experiences and questions to future workshops
Conclusion: Transforming complexity into clarity together
The response to our first community workshop clearly shows that there is a great need for practical exchange on the topic of Process Mining. Together, we can master the challenges of data analysis and process optimization and pave the way for innovative solutions.
We would like to thank all participants for their commitment and look forward to the next joint steps on the road to data-supported process excellence!
